Not long after we got married, doctors told us we'd possibly never have kids. One of the meanings of the name Connor is "much wanted." You are indeed, Connor. We are so very blessed!
It is very hard to believe that 7 years have passed!
In a tradition that began when you were so little...
...we started with Birthday Breakfast.
Always complete with decorations to celebrate your special day:
We even got to FaceTime with Daddy during breakfast, making the day extra awesome!
To end the day, we got to have a Mommy-Connor date to the symphony.
At age 7:
- You love to play the piano.
- You whip around the yard on your bicycle.
- You build all kinds of crazy things with legos and k'nex. You build things out of your imagination, but you really like following the directions to build the kits, too.
- You love angry birds.
- You are a second year Spark at AWANA.
- You are a 1st grader and you do great at school.
- You are beginning to read really well.
- You're a yellow belt in karate.
- You have lost two teeth, and you might lose a third one before the day is over!
- You give big, huge hugs!
- You are coming out of your shell and becoming a more confident and polite gentleman.
- You relish responsibilities like being Zoë's buddy on outings, playing with Reagan, running errands to neighbors' for mommy, making lunch for you and your siblings, etc...
- You have been a sweet, sweet helper to mommy during this deployment and I thank God for your maturity to help hold down the fort when we've had rough days and sicknesses.
You are such a sweet delight to us, Connor. You are a fiercely strong-willed child with a tender heart and a giving spirit. You are great organizer, leader and servant in our family.
We love you to the moon and back, Connor Hart!
