Art Class

Believe it or not, our town here in Almost Canada has an art museum.  It's not very big, but hey, at least we have one.  Even better, the museum currently has a grant that funds a FREE art class to homeschool families once a month!
This month was our first time participating and we'll definitely be making it part of our monthly school routine.  This week's class began with a history lesson and display of artist Marc Chagall's life and works.  Then everyone went down to the kid's art room in the basement where the kids were supposed to create their own Chagall-like painting with oil pastels and watercolors.

C, K & Z were a bit too young to completely follow the painting directions or appreciate Chagall's works, but they got to learn some new things, use new and different types of (completely permanent and non-washable) art supplies and interact with other HS kiddos.  It was a good time and we are grateful for the grant and this class!
