Very last minute and unexpectedly, the AF "gifted" us a trip to Pensacola. The Monday after we arrived home from MN, Alan came home with news that he had to be in FL the next week for a class. Even though we'd just been gone for a week, I had mastitis and driving almost 4,000 miles round-trip (with a nursing one month old) wasn't high on our list of fun family activities, we hurried up, regrouped, repacked and hit the road. (Another benefit to homeschooling!)
It was a long 3 days down, but completely worth it! The boys LOVED hitting the beach again! Chasing waves never gets old when you're 5 & 6.
Zoë wasn't into chasing the waves. She preferred to play in the sand and cuddle with Daddy.
The BIGGEST blessing of the trip was all the time with our sweet friends!
Our schedule was JAM-packed with playdates, park outings, dinners and all kinds of fun!
In spite of the short notice, our sweet friends cleared their schedules, planned all kinds of fun gatherings, opened their homes to us and gave us a busy, but refreshing two weeks! We miss you all SO MUCH!!!!!!
And after two weeks of late, late nights, no naps and constantly being on the go, we were physically exhausted.
But spiritually and emotionally recharged! Thanks, Friends!
