Snow Days

The beginning of October brought our first few snow flurries.  One day we looked out and it was snowing big beautiful flakes, so we took an early recess from school to run out and catch snow flakes on our tongues.

Just this week, we finally got some substantial snow showers.  One morning, we awoke to at least 1/2 an inch on the ground, so the kids scurried out to enjoy it. We made our first snow family of the season.

And the boys had a good snowball fight.

Yesterday it snowed almost all day long!  You can see, Zoë Kate was making snowballs and the boys were making snow angels.

Everyone gets a excited about the "snow tractors!"

Connor and Keegan shoveled our walk and driveway today, for which I am very thankful!  With Alan's hasty departure, I never got a tutorial on how to work the snow blower, but who needs a snowblower when you have two strapping young men who need to be trained up to work hard and serve?!

We are LOVING this beautiful snow, but Reagan Grace thinks it's terribly unfair that she has to watch all the action and fun from the window.
